There is a shrine that you should visit for sightseeing in Kyoto. It is Yasui Konpira-gu shrine, which located in Higashiyama. It has many interesting and attractive things, and It’s also known  as a spiritual place that is also effective for good relationships.

I’ll introduce the highlight and history, and how to worship there. Let’s go to interesting and wonderful world!!!

 

Yasui Konpira-gu

It’s mainly famous for not only initiating good relationships but also cutting off bad relationships, therefore it’s so attracting many people who is suffering from bad relationships with many social problems such as stalking.

 

Let’s get good relationships…
There is the words【Cutting off bad relationships and initiating you Good relationships】on the torii.

 

Not that big, but unbelievable…
The original story about cutting off a bad relationship came from the history that the Emperor had to break up with his loved one in the war. Then he hoped that people would never suffer from such a sad thing related to relationships, and it’s been known well to cut off the bad relationships.

In addition to bad relationships like that, it cuts off all bad relationships such as alcohol, cigarettes, gambling, illness, etc. That’s why not only women but worshipers visit regardless of age and gender.


Finally, but how to…???

A megalith in the shape of EMA (a votive tablet) is 1.5 meters high and 3 meters wide. There are so many KATASHIRO (substitution charm) stuck on the stone with various wishes written on them that the monument is scarcely visible. How to do
① First visit the main shrine

②Write down your wishes on 形代 【Katashiro】. Katashiro is available at the table on the left side of the stone monument. Please make your courtesy payment of more than 100 yen to the offertory boxand take your charm.

③Take your Katashiro and reciting your wish go through the monument in the direction from front to back

④Then in the same manner, holding your Katashiro and reciting your wish, go through themonument in the direction from back to front.

⑤In the end stick your Katashiro on the monument. Stick it on the monument in any place you like. That’s what you do there, is it so easy, isn’t it?? Let’s try it!!


In addition to them…
久志【Kushi】means a “comb” that makes women’s hair beautiful. Kushizuka, located in the corner of the precincts, was built in 1978 to feed an old comb. It is also said to bring benefits of  hair and beauty to people.

And also, there are stone pillars with a illastration of zodiac. In the upper part, a pattern with each zodiac was drawn. Let’s looking for your own zodiac pillar!!
